Frequently asked questions

Should I use a different espresso recipe for a flat white compared to a long black?
To get the absolute best out of this versatile light roast, we recommend slightly adjusting your recipe based on your drink. For black coffees (espresso or long black), use a 21g dose yielding 44g in 27–30 seconds at 94°C. This slightly longer ratio beautifully highlights the vibrant, fruity acidity. If you are brewing a milk-based coffee like a latte or flat white, up your dose to 22g and pull a tighter 42g yield in 28–31 seconds. This creates a denser, more concentrated shot that pushes the rich caramel and milk chocolate notes perfectly through textured milk.
Will this light roast espresso blend taste too sour or acidic in my daily milk coffee?
While it includes 20% natural Ethiopian beans for a beautiful fruity complexity, it is deeply anchored by an 80% base of premium Brazilian and Colombian coffees. This creates a highly forgiving, easy-to-brew foundation. When brewed with hot water (94°C) to fully extract the sugars, it results in a perfectly balanced, sweet cup that tastes like a rich white chocolate and roasted almond treat in milk.
